I had a buddy come down from Bismarck this weekend to visit. He came on Thursday and stayed till Sunday. Haven't seen him or his daughter in about four years. Friday was his 40th birthday and he wanted to get out of town. I took off work early on Friday and we hit Valley Fair for a while. Kids had a blast in the water park and on all the rides. We got home and grilled up some T-bones and made some crab legs for his birthday dinner and then it was off to the bar for he and I. I only had a couple but we ended up shutting the bar down. Been a while since I've been out and a really long time since I shut a bar down. But it was a good time.

Saturday morning was rain so we vegged a little then decided to take the kids to Como.

After that we drove around downtown a big so his daughter could see the buildings and then headed to Minnehaha Falls for a couple of hours so they could play int he water.

Got home from there and deep fried some walleye I had in the freezer along with deep fried pickles. The girls continued their water fun in our pool and we sat around and BS'd for a while. Watched a couple of movies and was up late again. Sunday we went out for breakfast and they headed home. It was a tiring weekend but a lot of fun. Made me remember why I don't go out to much anymore, expensive and just wears me out. I'm not 21 anymore. Great way to spend Father's day weekend though with a great friend and my wonderful family.
Friends are like buttcheeks..........crap might separate them, but they come together in the end.
