From a buddy.

The Lake conditions havent gotten any better with the warm weather, still open water out from walker bay but you can still fish on good ice in Walker Bay not too far from shore. This area has had the best bite now on leech

Out from the Whipholt access there is 10 to 12 inches of ice this is about a mile from shore ok for a 4 wheeler. Up in the Federal Dam area I havent heard of any reports or have I been up that way yet, but the ice should be good for walking or a 4 wheeler. Use caution and you should be ok, Not many people are out on Leech because of the nice weather but from Walker Bay you dont have to go far to find some good depth to fish

We did fish on Steamboat lake Thurs in 12 to 16 ft of water and we managed seven walleyes and some eater perch we had 10 to 12 inches and I saw 4 wheelers out closer to shore and a good number of houses out. We just need some colder weather.
