Every angler has that good old "Go To Lure" that just seems to produce a fish when nothing else works.  No matter what the weather, the conditions, the water level, it seems to always draw a strike...  For me, it's been a bass jig.  The jigs may have changed over time, but the bass jig always seems to be on one of my rod-n-reels just begging to be used.  Currently a white All Terrain Grassmaster with a white Yamamoto 4" Hula Grub.

What's your "Go To Lure"?

I have had many favorites.
my go to lure at red was the neon lights moon glow #4 in glow red.
I used to buy them buy the card.
they worked very well. the glowed bright red and the crappies loved them.
then they came out with the glow blue. they look white but when charged, they last forever. eliminating the need to recharge every fifteen minutes like the red required.
I talked with Bill at Fred's bait shop in Deer River after the blues first came out and still in my thinking red was the brightest, I was right, but as Bill said, when he comes in the shop first thing in the morning, the only color still glowing on the back wall is the blue glow.
I have found this to be absolutely true.
even after pulling my lures up after an hour or even two the blue is still lit up.

the down side to this, is, I think especialy after crappies, is that crappies some times react to a falling bait.
the motion of lifting a jig to recharge it and letting it back down often added another crappie to my pail.

another good lure is the buckshot lures. sometimes it takes a little noist to catch the attention of a fish just out of sight range.

cant forget the good ol standby the #2 or #4 gamkatsu octopus hooks.
personaly I like the glow hooks, but the plain hooks work well too. razor sharp and they dont rust.

take a kid hunting and fishing!!

For summer Panfishing, red and white mini jigs are still my jig of choice.

For hard water, you can't beat a shrimpo in glow blue. Rat Finkees are a close 2nd.

For summer I like the good ol fasioned pork frog or a plastic crawdad.

Winter a glow white vingla or pink/blue rat finke.
