The state executive council of Governor Dayton (DFL), Mark Ritchie(DFL), & Rebecca Otto(DFL) voted to stop issuing exploration leases until the land owners case is heard by the court.  Lori Swanson (DFL State Atty General) voted NO, being the only voice of reason.  Lt. Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon(DFL) was conveniently absent during the vote.
This vote, along with the election of Rick Nolan(DFL) for the US 8th District Congressional seat shows that a certain political party that claims to be for the working class doesn't support any living wage jobs in the northland.
