Lots of fish being caught, all different sizes.  Saugers are outnumbering walleyes on the south end.  Most houses in 25' - 31'.  Ice conditions are improving.  Most resorts with access roads allowing 1/2 ton vehicles.  13" of ice on 4 Mile Bay, 16" of ice on lake where resorts are traveling.  Use resort ice roads, safety first.  Morning/evening bite in 15' - 20' for walleyes.  Gold, red and glow red have been hot colors.  Plain hook for deadstick.

Up at the NW Angle.  Good numbers of nice sized walleyes/saugers.  20 - 30' of water out of permanent houses.  Combo of mud and reef fishing.  Whitefish, crappies and northerns active for the anglers on snowmobiles with collapsibles.  16" of ice on ice roads.  More info and lodging at www.lakeofthewoodsMN.com.
