We hit the lake on the west side and took the 4 wheeler out a couple of miles and crossed 4 pressure ridges and cracks.  We started out in 30 FOW and worked our way up the hill and found active fish on the top in 24FOW.  We started with small spoons tipped with a minnow heads and had tip-ups set withshiners and suckers.  The suckers were the ticket as we had 75% of our fish on the sucker minnows.  We released 10 eyes that were in the slot and one keeper right at sunset.  It was a good, not great day on the lake.  we didn't have any other houses within a mile of us.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.
