DFL leaders eye higher Minn. gas tax, other fees

Minnesota drivers could pay nearly 10 cents extra per gallon at the pump under a package of tax hikes House Democrats proposed Tuesday to help pay for roads, bridges and transit projects across the state.

They keep pushin because no one made any ruckus about the .14 cent per gallon statewide tax that went into effect Jan. 1st to solely fund the toy trains that run empty. The main reason to increase gas taxes is to turn roadways into bike paths and fund trains shoved down the throats of taxpayers.

The people of Minnesota have spoken.  It will only be ten cents if Dayton holds tight.   :rotflmao: :rotflmao:  Look for more like 30.  Don't even think about how the Legacy funds are being raided.  Check out the funding of the Minnesota pollution control agency.   :banghead: :banghead:  They are just sliding the funding out of the general fund and using the legacy fund $'s.  Who would have thunk it?   :banghead: :banghead:   At least with a gas tax everyone has some skin in the game.  I'm all for it.  At some point the average dolt will figure out that the evil, greedy, oil company makes 4-6 cents per gallon.  They may even ask where is the other 3.50 cents going.   :surrender:  Probably not in my life time. :doah:
