Do not give your dog cheap flea and tick guard.  I dosed my new pup with Vet Guard Plus that i purchased from walmart and he had a very bad reaction to it.  I took him to the vet this morning because he look sick and was shaking alot.  So far he has had to seizures at the vet clinic today.

Sorry to hear about your dog.  I only give the cheap stuff to the outside cat.  The dog gets the top of the line stuff.

Alot of what we give our pets is over kill, infact I've seen studies from the UofM that we are lead to over medicating our pets,I started taking notice since my 2nd golden came down with liver cancer, the senior vet at the U shed some light on this topic, did you know that the lyme vacine our vets sell us only works on about 5% of the animals?and is hard on the animals organs(liver and kidneys)

And just think about this topical solution we put on our animals, the directions state its recommended we put rubber gloves on to apply and this stuff is so toxic it kills fleas and ticks for 30days (even longer),did you know that the rabbies vacine is a 3year vacine? but our vets tell us one or two years, this one vacine is extremely hard on the kidneys and liver and should not be piggy backed with other shots which usually happens, the vet adds provo, distemper etc,so be careful folks and think whats best for your pet not the vet.

Sorry to here about your pup, hope he snaps out of it.

Update from the Vet this morning was that the shakes were preety much gone and he is in the clear so he shouldnt have any more seizures.  I'll be picking him up this afternoon after work.
