not sure where your getting your weather info but below freezing but no below zero.!!!! there was ice on lake orona in elk river this morning and on my way home from fargo yesterday all the slough's were ice covered up to Alexandria!

Had some thin ice in the bays around the cattails and bullrushes yesterday but it's all gone today with the winds blowing again. May get more next week when the temps are supposed to stay below freezing for a couple days but then it's supposed to warm back into the low 40's the following weekend. I need three to four inches before I'll walk out. Won't be going out anytime soon.

We used to be out shortly after thanksgiving 30 some years agoLake Blackwell west of Alex. Lets hope we get back to those days of early ice

Yep, long ago my first venture out was usually the Friday after turkey day. Been a lot of years since that has happened.

2011 I was fishing December 5th on 3-4" and put the first fish on the contest board.
As a more recent father... I don't advocate for early early ice fishing. But I look forward to some hardware fishing around Christmas.

West Norway Lake in Kandiyohi County was iced over.  Opened up again overnight.

Sounds like people are starting to walk out on red, this freeze is going good, pray for no wind an no snow for a bit yet till we establish a good base line of ice.

Looks like even Big Devils Lake in ND is now mostly Frozen over today!!

Reports are showing that LOTW is mostly frozen over as well!  the -10 temps have helped
