new to MN, where to bow hunt turkeys on public dirt?

I'm a new resident of MN and am hoping someone can give me some insight as to where I should start scouting on public land to try and arrow a longbeard this spring. I am from Michigan and had success on public grounds there last season so I'm hoping to do the same here in MN. I currently reside in Carver county so looking to hunt as close to home as possible but don't mind driving an hour or two if thats where the birds are. I'm not asking to give up your honey hole just wondering if anyone could give me the names of any wmas, state forests/refuges or parks that hold birds and aren't too over pressured. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I find myself really thinking a lot about turkeys this time of year as well. Last year I had to use snow camo and it seems those with early seasons this year may have to wear white too. There are a lot  and I mean a lot of available birds that go untouched on public and private land here in MN. I rarely get into Carver to give you an exact spot but if you keep persistant you will have no trouble becoming successful. I hope someone here will help you out.

Carver?By Shokopee.I used to hunt the aREA FOR DEER AND TURKEY ARCHERY.Still do if I am visiting and a season is open.Not much anymore but sometimes.My best public spots were the Mn River valley Just north of Jordan, one east of shokopee called the Wilkee unit.I dont recall the specific names but do a net search of recreation in the  Mn.River valley,National wildlife refuage.There are certain areas the open to hunting each year.Good luck they are right out your door and you will see many!
