:reporter; Wisconsin college plans body farm

 Mon Mar 31, 2014

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A northeastern Wisconsin technical college is planning to set up a so-called body farm to help forensic researchers study cold-weather decomposition. :help:

 :coffee: ....... :doah:
Post-Crescent Media reports (http://post.cr/1lhFJA6 ) Fox Valley Technical College's farm will be an outdoor research facility where forensic scientists will place animal carcasses and donated human corpses in multiple settings -- in the open air, in shallow graves or in sleeping bags -- to study how the bodies deteriorate and how scavengers pick them apart.

Joe LeFevre is chairman of FVTC's Forensic Science Department. He says researchers might conduct experiments on how subzero temperatures mummify body tissue, whether insects inside the body can tolerate freezing and whether scavengers lose interest in frozen bodies.

The farm is set to open in mid-2015.

I wonder about this guy Joe LeFevre chairman of FVTC's Forensic Science Department. Do you think he could be related to Dr. Josef Mengele, nicknamed (The Angel Of Death)

Just sayin :whistling:

There must not have been enough deceased people or animals in the history of the world for the people granting funds for this monkey business to realize that maggots eat dead stuff and dust becomes dust.
