Great Vacation last week
Despite the gale force winds on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, we did manage to get in some fishing.  When we did get out, fishing was great.  Northerns bit at the rate of 6-8 per hour.  Most were in the 1-3 pound range but we did get a few bigger ones including long skinny one pictured below.  We fished walleyes in 4-5 feet of water just off our dock.  We would get 5-10 of them between 9 and 10 at night.  One night I got the two nice ones pictured below but most were in the 16-20 inch range.  Strange fishing in shallow flat sand weedless bottom 1/4 mile from any water over 12 feet.

Looks like you had a great time!  :happy1:

I only got out for a short time on Thursday to try my new trim and tilt out. We caught ZIP.....wake restriction still in effect here, so, speed trolling was out of the question.  :sail:

Deadeye we were also on vacation last week just got home. Always love Minnesota at the lake for the week of the 4th. I spent the windy weekend trapping some BIG rusty crawfish for a mudbug/walleye/shrimp boil on the 4th.  Yummy!

corny13, nice touch with the MNO bumper sticker.  I would use one too, if I had one.   I was one of the guys who sent a stamped envelope to the fishing contest entry so I guess as punishment, I didn't get a bumper sticker.  :moon:
