dead crappies don't lie 8)

thanks to Russ, gene, Floyd Hill, putz,
and that green around the gills brother of mine, whodeany for the help getting the 64 loaded on the trailer. all of our houses are off and home.
bob, get ahold of me. if you can get this far, you can ride up with me, and we can retrieve your truck and camper.

thanks to Dave and Diane, Bryce and Melisa, Gary and Nancy, big_fish_guy and his crew.
i made it out of hilmans road to the secret spot. to visit them and caught my first crappie of this 06 season!! :o
brycie, the cook out was great too. i didn't come over to eat, but my timing was impeccable.
the roads are still doable, but they sure went down hill after the rain. rough is the word. with this cold snap coming, if the water freezes in the chuck holes, the roads should get a bit better.
off road travel was possible, but still a fair amount of snow on the lake. slush underneath. traveling in groups of at least two vehicles is highly recommended.
this is the beginning of the best time of the winter to catch crappies. if you are kicking around the idea of going, go!
snowmobiles, ..do-able.
ATVs,..do-able
pick-ups,..do-able.
cars? i wouldn't recommend it but probably do-able if you stick to the roads.
call your favorite resort for up to date road conditions.
