 :coffee: ..........
Game on this week as resorts are open, fish houses are out and fishing is great. 4 Mile bay has about 14 inches of ice, the lake has 13-16 off Pine Island to the ice houses. Best fishing in 25-28 feet. Lots of action with consistent limits.  Anglers weeding through small fish for keepers. Moving west towards Zippel Bay and Long Point there is 14-19 inches. 22-24 feet saugers and walleyes filling limits with larger walleyes in 26 feet. Reports of a great shallow bite in 14 feet after 4 pm evenings. Bright colors, green, pink, or glow working best with live minnow or frozen shiner heads. Some resorts allowing small vehicles on ice.

On the Rainy River, where anglers are fishing there is 10-13 inches of ice. Ice depths vary, know where you are going, use resort trails.  Mornings and evenings more active in 14-17 feet. Use active presentation for best results. Glow, gold, and bright colors best with live or frozen shiners.

Up at the NW Angle, 12-14 inches of ice off Young’s Bay and Angle Inlet. Up to 10 inches near islands. Many resorts have fish houses out and are catching fish. Use marked resort trails as pressure ridges popped up this week.
