Anyone have one of these or know anything about them?  I understand the advantages to a bow mount but I see some advantages to this style.  No raising or lowering.  Steering with the existing steering wheel.  I primarily drift fish or back troll but there are some flat calm days that I could use a quiet boost now and again.

Yah,Their for a boat that has no option of mounting a stern or bow mount elec. Lots a power in comparison to the bow or stern mounts.  They need that extra power For a select group that cant mount a elec. is what their for.
Pushing a boat from the stern gives little control,In comparison to a bowmount  leading and pulling the craft in a breeze. Get a bow mount if you want control.Get a stern mount if you dont mind the wind blowing you off course wildly and troll only with it

The balls to the wall tourney fisherman have never endorsed this style because it slows them down when terrorizing everything in their wake going to the next hot spot. I have spent some time with a boat equipped this way and confess it is a way more relaxing and low stress atmosphere on board with this type of setup. If the wind is pushing your bow around it is time to change technique regardless of where the electric is. I must say they operate rather well. No foot pedal or remote to dig out or maintain. Perfect set up for a lake with no fish.

I would have to agree with dew2 on the points he brought up. :happy1: This looks like it sticks out even further than your outboard and can become a hazard while parking at some docks during rough water conditions. That would include careless folks that pull in behind you. You can't pull up your electric motor without raising up your outboard. If you need to work on your outboard you've got this monster in your face.
