Last weekend brought constant winds.   Trees were going over and we went without power most of Friday evening.  The water temps were around 48-50 degrees.  No ducks flying on Saturday but Sunday brought in a few new birds to the area.

Fishing for crappies has been slow according to the local bait shop.  We were the only boat on the lake both Friday and Saturday that was fishing.  We found the fish in 12-24ft along steep breaks and rocks.  The winds made boat control very difficult.  We found eyes and pike working the same rocky ledges.

The last weekend in Oct.  Brought more of the same.  High winds and cold.  Water temps near 33 degrees.  Ducks were holding on Nett lake.  A calm cold days and nights could bring the freeze needed to move them out.  Fishing was slow and cold.  Pike and smallies could be caught but they were holding tight in the shallow boulders.  This was my last shot for this year.

Next year we'll have to come up with the "Got Balls" award for some of our MNO warriors. Until then it's just honorable mention. :happy1:

I think something like this may be more appropriate.   :doah:
