I finally read the brochure.  There is access to several portage lakes with boats already on them.   I may have to give that a try.

My online research did not turn up a lot of information.  I did see several references to a change over the last 10-12 years of more walleyes.  !0-12 years ago the north arm was more small mouth.  There are plenty of nice pike to be had.  Looking at the map I really did not get a perspective on how far you had to run to get to islands and bays that may be areas of interest to fish.  The falls dump right in at the camp and I am sure that current will hold fish all the time.

Anyone have any experience or tips?   I think I may have read that the water is clearer on the north arm as well.  I can't say for sure though.  I am looking forward to hitting it this summer.

I was looking at my gps lake map and it looks like tons of areas to fish.

I put my Rainy Lake chip in a safe place last year.  I went to pull it out to take a look this last weekend and it's still safe.  I looked for a while in all the safe places I could think of but no luck.  I did find a few old Easter eggs though.  :doah:
