:police: WEST FARGO, N.D. — Authorities have recovered a body in the Sheyenne River that appears to be a snowmobiler who went missing this winter.

 :coffee: ........
About 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, two men reported seeing the body in the river along Goldenwood Drive, West Fargo police said.

The Valley Water Rescue dive team and the West Fargo Fire Department helped recover the body, which had clothing similar to what Cole Schwindt was wearing when he went missing Dec. 2, police said.

The body was found about 800 yards downstream from where authorities believe Schwindt, 34, of Moorhead, Minn., entered the frozen river, police said.

The body has been sent to Grand Forks where officials will conduct an autopsy and confirm the identity.

Authorities searched for Schwindt numerous times after he went missing, including dive team searches until the river froze over.

For the past three weeks, the Valley Water Rescue dive team and the West Fargo Fire Department had been walking the banks of the river twice a day looking for signs of Schwindt.
