Daughters1st opener
Took my oldest daughter out for her 1st opener.  We headed to our spot by 5. As we were driving down the logging road we caught up to a guy pulling his kayak. Stopped and chatted with him. He asked were we were going to set up. Told him we were planning on hunting the point. He said the pond wasn't big enough for all 3 of us(its about 25 acres).  He asked if it was my daughter 1st opener and we said it was. He immediately said he was going to his 2nd option a mile away and wished us luck and told us to have fun.  We thanked him and again offered to share. Best experience I've ever had while hunting.  Great example for my daughter. We
     When we got set up the birds were flying and Sierra was shooting.  She ended up with 3 woodies and a ringbill.

Sunday was much slower.  Only a few flocks low enough early. We had a small flock of woodies come in with only one drake and she folded it with the 1st shot and stopped shooting. Proud of her for that choice. 2 of the 3 woodies she shot on saturday were hens. She is learning.  I love the 1 on 1 time we shared in the blind. Its easier to talk while duck hunting than deer hunting.

He said his daughter bailed on him this year. I hope i see him again. A want to thank him again.

She also wanted to try my shotgun because i was using the 3 inch rem that HD recommended. Needless to say she didn't get the gun up right.  She does bruise easily.
