MILLE LACS Lake – Chris Kuduk’s Guide Service (320-630-1761)
A pretty good bite out on the flats, Sherman’s has about 15 inches of ice.  On the mud, using frosty jigs for eyes tipped with minnow heads.  Genz worms seem to be working the best for the perch.  Very little snow out on the lake.  Keep in mind the slot limit is less then 20 inches and one over 28.

MILLE LACS LAKE - Malmo Market, Lynwood Elliott, State Hwy 47 and 18 East, NE corner of Mille Lacs (320-684-2295)   Ice conditions on Mille Lacs have been improving daily. Most resorts on the NE side have good roads and are pulling houses; vehicle travel is permitted on marked roads. Anglers are reporting a bit slower action this week compared to last. Anglers are catching walleyes on the edges of the flats in 26'-30' using small Kastmasters and swedish pimples tipped with a minnow head. Slow jigging seems to be the key, also try having 1 set line per person rigged with a small jig and minnow close to the bottom. Anglers are also reporting a few big fish26"-28" hitting rattle reels tipped with shiners overnight. Perch action has been sporadic. Anglers are seeing them on their cameras but having to work to get them to bite. Waxies and crappie minnows have been the key on the flats. Early morning and 4-6pm seem to be the best time. Expect an occasional big fish overnight.  Have fun, catch fish.

MILLE LACS LAKE – Johnsons Portside, Kelly or Steve, 1 mile north of Isle on Hwy 47 SE side of the lake (320-676-3811)   Hello anglers, the weekend showed the perch bite is starting to pick up, Hennepin Island showing a few day bites and also reports coming from Banana Reef, and tundra. Walleye on the other hand are still hanging out in the deeper waters mud and gravel in 25'-35'.  Try to be mobile if you can.  The more you can move around the better the chances. Remember the Original Perch Extravaganza is being held at its NEW LOCATION Hunters Point Resort, Feb 24th.  Check the Website for more up to date info.
