Trailer brake battery

Hi all, looking to wire the fish house to take a charge from the truck while driving but was curious if I run power to the house battery AND the brake battery will it backfeed from one to the other when not hooked up to the truck?  If so did you just install a diode before the brake battery to prevent any current from traveling back?

im not a wiring guy.. but i am curious why u feel the need tocharge the house battery from the truck while driving. i had an issue of the onboard charge not charging my house battery completly. then it froze while i was away. turns out those on board charge ice castle installs are only a 2 amp and can keep up. so i just bought a 6 amp.and keep it installed in the house to the battery and its a constant full charge running off of the genny.

We have a converter that will charge the battery for shore power or a genny just nice when your out for a weekend to get every extra little bit of charge in.  Plus, having the house battery tied into the trailer brake gives you added security there if the brake battery fails.  Just dont want to accidentally run the house battery down and drain the trailer brakes.  Talked to a guy at the RV shop just now and he said he had hear of people just throwing a diode in but was looking for some first hand experience.
