Boy, how old is it??? Stren isn't usually like that...I use Stren Ice in the winter. Have some Trilene Micro ice on a few. Don't really notice any difference between the two...

i've sort of drifted over to the superlines for most of my reels, but I do miss fishing with mono. I keep a big spool of trilene xl in the house in case we have to throw something on a reel.

That's been decent for me in the past, outdated for sure as xl has been around for ever I suppose.

Trilene Micro Ice here as well. Bought some Northland that i haven't really had chance to try yet. Mostly 4#, the Northland is 3# . I'll use a short flouro leader most of the time too.

I tried to find the package of Sufix I bought. It's colored orange, kinda reminded me of the old Stren line that was yellow. Has very little memory, so I'm not sure if it's a fluorocarbon till I find the package. (I'll post a pic when I find it) I fish outside almost always when I go, so curling is a real problem for me. So, I replace my line every year whether I want to or not. That helps greatly on the memory issue.  :fishing:
