i recent had the first of 11 1st generation vigstols pass. The family of vigstols are the onley clan of vigstols in the US. We are close. My uncle Less, who passed, was awsome! his passion was wood working and civil war recreation. He was in several movies with his troops. including dances with wolves. My second memorie on ice consisted of tip up fishing on lake Sakakawea in ND. He made these tip ups. it used a snell hook to hold the smelt horizontal. u would attach a red and white bobber to the line, and rest it on the horizontal boards when a pike hit, the bobber just rolled off. i have if mounted in my ice castle. may e to be used again somday in memorie of my uncle.
