So just what goes on in a wheel house that everyone need to run a generator during the day.  Yesterday I set up about 50 yards from a wheel house (yes it was there and occupied).  Shortly after I started fishing, they fired up a generator (which never stopped until they left just before dark).  A half hour later another wheel house sets up about 30 yards away and, out comes the generator.  Shortly after that a third wheel house sets up 35 yards away in another direction and you guessed it a third generator starts blasting away.  I guess could have just pulled up stakes and moved but the fish were biting so I stayed and endured 5 hours of noise (one was quite loud) during what should have been a nice quite time on the lake.  Being I was fishing outside and they were all in there wheel houses, maybe they don't realize how loud it was.  Being I don't own a wheel house, can someone tell me what you need a generator for in the middle of the day?  :pouty:

I have NO idea....but I'm with ya all the way, deadeye. (I'm talking bigger porties) Ya bring hot drinks/soup/ in a thermos, have little propane burner to reheat in a pot, use yer buddy heater with a roller tray for a grill, like I do, ya sure don't need lights.....so why a gennie??!!  I can't STAND noise when I'm fishing! I want peace and quiet. Ya turn on the radio, start playing drunk football tag, and yer gonna get a studded size 12 boot in yer arse, courtesy of me!

i dont own one deadeye, but been in a few. i believe the furnace/heater in those have a blower on them that needs power, then there are lites, plug ins for microwaves, slow cookers radios, TV, all the goodies like at home. for most they spend overnites and weekends in them so the need to charge there toys also, including cell phones as most people dont drop them down the hole.................RIGHT..........BOAR!!!!! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

i also see alot of these put the generator in the back of there truck and close the topper doors to muffle the noise.

The furnace draws a lot of power from the inverter. My neighbors house will only run the furnace once on the battery then the furnace will not start. A lot of people don't want to spend the 1000 for a Honda and buy the cheapo brand that is noisy. My small home made wheel house is all battery powered so no generator needed. Other than politely asking the noisy generator people if they could move the generator to the other side of the house, I don't know how you can get away from it.

 Go where they can't or won't, smaller lakes with limited access is about the only way
