OK.  It's been over 10 years since I've had to buy a new pair of boots.  I figured this is the time of year when everyone is selling off their winter stuff, so I might as well do it now.

So, I need recommendations.  I need something that will work for ice fishing, snowmobiling, and blowing snow.  Something that is waterproof for walking out on the ice on a 40 degree late March day.  I hope thats not to many needs ;D

Any suggestions would be appreciated, as I want to do this before heading up to Red Lake the weekend of the 24th.  The cost of the boot isn't the issue, I just want it to do what I described above for another 10 years.  LaCrosse?  Sorels? What should I buy?

Any suggestions are hugely appreciated.  And if the boot is available at Fleet Farm, that's an added bonus.  It's two miles from my house.

I bought a pair of Lacross snowkings.  At least that what I think they are.  It the only pair of boots that my feet have not been cold in.  I've owned Sorels in the past and when sitting in the deer blind or on the ice my feet would always freeze, but with the Lacrosse they always stay warm.  They are also pretty waterproof, never have had wet feet either. Just my .02.

Take a look at these LaCrosse Extreme PFT boots:

I have an older style I got a few years back (no camo) and am really happy with them.  Feet have never gotten wet.  One down fall is that they are a little bulky (not heavy, just big).  I can't drive my truck wearing them, it just doesn't work well, so when I go ice fishing I drive to the lake and change into them.

Thanks guys - so far it looks like LaCrosse.  Any other input?

If your around Minnetonka I would go look at the Gander Mountian there. They are closing the store and moving to a new location and the boots are 40% off right now.  The store closes the 23rd of this month

I got a smoking deal on a scope for my rifle

Thanks again guys.  I'll need to get over to that Gander Store tomorrow.  Is it by Ridgedale?

Bunny Boots is the answer, I am a wimp and can sit and icefish and hunt in my bunny boots all day and all night, with just one pair of socks on. LUVNLIFE
