Well once again, URL has done a "Who's Your Daddy" on me as far as crappie's are concerned. My box score? After 4 trips there The score stands at: Keith=3 crappies total! Why am I subjecting myself to this public humiliation? Darned if I know. I've tried everything. The Shooks Shake, the lead suit, praying to the Fish Gods, etc. Nothing has worked for me. I always leave the place mumbling and cursing. Is there any hope for me? I implore you, O Great Ones, jigglestick and Dr Bob! Please come to my aid before it's too late! On this last trip I was fishing with Fiskynut and my friend Jim, in one of Kelly-P's house's. We all got limits of walleye's with no problem. They were biting very well. The only crappie caught(That's right, only one!) was caught by my friend Jim. And what a crappie it was! Just about 15"! Made Jim very happy since it was his first time on URL. All in all, we still had a great time. But my inability to connect with URL crappie's still mystify's me. Good luck all! ;D DIRTBALL2 ;)

The last time we were up there, as breakfast was being made we had a eye opener (vodka and orange juice strong) and asked the crappie gods to please be kind to us and let us catch a few crappies.  This was the first time we had tried this approach, since all the other times produced zero crappies.  This time we did well with the crappies.  It worked for us, I think it would be worth a try for you!!!  We have tried many things to please the triangle, such as loosing many dollars worth of gear, left on the ice and none of those things helped!!

I wish I could help you O'l Grungie One. The truth of thematter is the Crappie Gods have not smiled upon me as of late either :'(.

It is getting to be hit and miss for the slabs these days on the big pond.  If you hit them you can do really well.  If you don't, you can likely still catch a bunch of walleyes and perhaps a good buzz. ;D

The last time I was there all we managed was walleye.  The last day we fished in a spot that Tyler had people on the night b4.  They had managed to catch something like 70 slabs that night.  All we managed in the same spot was a few walters and a roughly 36" slimmer.

Good luck my friend.  And take Cookies advice.  If anyone can get you on em its Bearpaw.

I will be there with cast and crew one week from today.  If you happen to be in the neighboorhood give me a shout.

The Gross One, Maybe if I cut off my wife's beer money I might be able to afford to come down and meet you at URL. How will I find you? Just drive out for awhile and turn left? Hell I'm a glutton for punishment. The crappie gods just might get another shot at me! :o ::) DIRTBALL2 ;)
