A message from the Department Of Natural Resources....

This annual problem seems to be getting worse -- ice anglers leaving their trash behind when they head for shore. It’s one of the most common complaints conservation officers receive during the winter. The simple solution: If you brought it onto the ice, pack it with you when you leave. There’s no excuse for leaving anything but an impression when you leave the lake. mndnr.gov/coreports

Pigs like that make me sick.  Had more than a few confrontation telling idjits like that to get their crap off the ice. I  always had a garbage bag with me, and usually ended up taking home other people's crap.  :angry2:

LPS,
Great idea.  I wonder how the DNR would look at it if you sent them pictures of a mess around a house and then they check it out after the house is gone.

I have to agree guys, it really torques me when I see it. :mad1: I don't carry a garbage bag like Reb but still will pick it up & take home with me. Aluminum cans, cigarette butts, wood blocks, 1# propane tanks mostly, it's terrible. :angry2: I'm afraid it won't get any better until they start fining the crap out of them. Heard they actually tracked dpwn a group on URL last season :applause: & convinced them to make another trip up there the next weekend to clean up some of that mess.

:happy1: Good idea, DE. Think I read somewhere that as long as you have their shack license # or the vehicle, they could & probably would look into it. :happy1:

Yup. They follow up on that, and you get ticketed for littering.  :police:

These are the same slobs that throw their fast food bag out of the car windows onto the road or ditch. How lazy can you get?
