I know this was a topic a few years ago but it's been a while and I always like to know what, why and how people came up with names they have given various stands and areas on they property they hunt on.  I have quite a number so I will post a few to get things going.

I guess this name is pretty self explanatory.   :rotflmao:

It took some real imagination to come up with this one.

I cut these at home and my wife painted them.  When I put it up it was pointing the wrong way.  Fixed it.
***I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.***

A noteworthy stand name from the past... The Forty Footer

It wasn't up 40 feet up, but it was way up there in a triangle clump of birch on the edge of a swamp.  It was made of 2x4s and birch poles.  I only sat in it once.  Kinda scary.

The silo   35 years ago my uncle tore down his silo so we used a cable jack and lifted the metal cage that was at the top of his silo and used 12 inch lag bolts and anchored it in the top of a big ash tree.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.
