Here are some pics of the Sturgeon trying to get up the Rapid River.  I could have touched them if I wanted.  They don't seem to afraid of me.  There are some big ones and I can see more staged trying to get upriver.  Thanks for the heads up JB!

The suckers do this too but earlier in the spring.  People can net them and take them home to eat them.  The water was so low this year that I don't know how that panned out.  A lady fell in a few years ago and died during the sucker run.  Later that day or the next day her husband was back out netting suckers!!!

Yes it was kind of dicey getting over there but made it.  The DNR guys were in the bay.  Must have been electrofishing cuz they would pull a Sturgy into their boat now and then.
