Put a full 5 gallon bucket of black walnuts in about 25 gallons of water. I'll let that soak for a few days. Should be ready for traps by Tuesday. Got the firewood ready, too.
I think I'm going to try either Full Metal Jacket or BulletProof dip. Anybody got an opinion on either of these? Good or bad.
      Thanks.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Black walnut will stain your hands if you handle them without gloves.

I usually just spray paint my beaver traps with flat black rustolium.

By beaver traps, are you talking something like a 330 or a foothold? I've seen guys use a 50/50 mix of Rust-Oleum and acetone with nice results.

I use almost exclusively 330 and snares.  Mostly under ice.
