I caught a beautiful 14" perch today.  Is that big enough to have mounted?  That isn't as important to me as it used to be.  Just wondering.

Get a few really nice ones every Spring but don't usually keep 'em. Had a couple > 14" but they're always full of eggs so they usually go back.

Geez LP,that's a dandy, she'll fillet up nice for dinner, consider a replica, they last longer than a skin mount IMO.

Done both over the years, just had a 33" skin mount walleye re-furbished from 1960,scales were rolling back, cheeks were cracked, body paint faded...but oh the memories of that fish that day, couldn't toss it out.

Congrats.

After freezing and thawing and better measuring it was only 13" so it is part of supper tonight.  Gunner you are right.  If I get another one like that I will measure it and release it.  I would sure like to see more perch in the river.
