When I went up to the cabin Friday i brought 48 of my smaller beaver pelts.  I kept the biggest and best to have tanned.  Considering I only sold medium and small beaver and still averaged 23 dollars. I am overjoyed.   With these prices I'm planning on going back up to the cabin next week bad knee and all.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

I grew up trapping and kinda miss doing that.  My Dad was a federal trapper.   We trapped just about everything.  I remember doing all the fleshing and drying as well.   We used to send our furs out about this time of the year and wait until about Oct to get paid for them on the exchange auction.
