Electric clutch to engage the blades? Smurf stuck under the deck?

Yup sounds like the clutch isn't engaging.

See if a wire came unhooked or broken when the belt came off.  Did you hit some tall grass that made the belt come off?  Or did the clutch fail and that is when the belt came off.

I hit nuthing, just mowing along, its hydrostatic, no need to push cluth in to go. And the pto is just a push pull knob.

The clutch is what turns the deck on and off.  The knob you push or pull is the blade clutch.  See if a wire came off of that.

Bad owner maintenance. Debrie woorked up around the spindles, took shrouds off blew it clean, greased it up and put bel back on and good to go

Yeah, I blow our deck off about every other time it gets used very much, just like the air filter. It doesn't take a very big stick to get in the wrong spot & damage a belt or a spindle. Glad it wasn't anything major.

Glad you figured it out boar. At least it flipped the belt off rather than frying it. Electric clutch went on my zero turn last summer. Same deal. Nothing happened when I pulled the knob to engage the blades. Fried the electric clutch and the switch both. Knew I was in trouble when the guy said, "Never seen that before". Nothing about 6 hundos wouldn't cure.  :doah:
