My 3 year old lives for racing, maybe he can give me some pointers on the fantasy league. Actually, I think I may sign him up for the league and let him make the decisions.

He loves #48 Jimmie Johnson.

Jimmie Johnson is a heckuva driver!  There is no doubt about that.  I am not much of a Hendricks Racing fan-but you gotta call a good driver when you see one-no matter who he drives for!  I just read an article this week that Jimmie was actually tapped to run with DEI (Dale Earnhardt Inc.) But due to only having one airplane-they decided against adding another team!   ::)  So potentially he could have been Jr.'s team mate!   :o

By all means have your son sign up-the more the merrier!  My son is thinking about it (both the league and MNO), and my wife might sign up for the league as well.   :o  If she signs up with MNO-I'm in some deep doodoo (as JarJar Binks would say-I love Star Wars too)

I found the 2007 NEXTEL Cup (sorry Outdoors_Junkie) tv schedule on the FoxSports.com website. It is listed in the previous post.

Thanks for putting that up.  Nascar.com still hasn't updated their TV schedule.  ::)  You'd think being  their "official" website-they'd definently have it there.  All I know for sure is I'm more that ready for the 2007 season to start!   ;D

With the "girls" gone today for a girlscout event, my son and I spent the day doing "man" things.  We watched fishing shows this morning, then put in his new bedroom door.  This afternoon we went "Man shopping", (Fleet Farm, Auto parts store, ect.) So hopefully tomorrow we'll have to day to kick back and watch the Busch race.  I usually only watch Busch when it's at a superspeedway-but this will be interesting as well.  I wonder how many "buschwackers" will forgo a weekend off and "work".   ;)

looks like about 10-11 Cup regulars are racing in Mexico this weekend:

Carl Edwards
Greg Biffle
David Reutimann
Juan Pablo Montoya
Denny Hamlin
Ragan Smith
J J Yeley
Scott Wimmer (part time Cup with Childress)
David Gilliland
Dave Blaney
David Ragan

My son and I spent most of yesterday after his basketball practice clearing snow off the roof, drive, back patio and deck and then went over and blew out the neighbors drive for them. I plan on sitting on the couch in the "NASCAR ROOM" and watchin the Busch race today while munchin on venison, cheese and crackers and some ice cold Coca Cola baby.

I was wondering why Stew didn't treat Jimmy Johnson like he did Kenseth last year. You know, when he wrecked him so he could beat him?

Well, the first race for the car of tmrw. Jeff Gordon is on the pole in his Chevy Impala SS, 5 Toyotas made the field on qualifying time including Dave Blaney who qualified 7th.

Just wondering what kind of issues the teams will face in thier first race with the COT? Will the rear wings be able to be fixed or reattached quickly and succesfully in the event of a rear end crash? Will the front splitter hold up during the race and in the event of some bumping? Who will get this car figured out and have early success? Who will not get in figured out and have their Chase chances spoiled?

Any comments or feedback?

You pretty much nailed all the questions I have on the COT car.  I am curious how the car will hold up and what problems will arise with it's first real race!  I'm also curious to see how it holds up at Talladega this fall!  Will they be able to bump draft? It doesn't look like it!

Bristol Motor Speedway.

I didnt' get to watch most of the race as it was a beautiful day out (most of the day) so we were outside grilling, playing with our son and running some errands through the afternoon. Here is a quick summary of the day. If you have something that really got under your skin or that you are really excited about from this weekend at Bristol, feel free to post a reply here.

Kyle Busch wins 1st COT race at Bristol: #5-Kyle Busch won the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway for his 1st win of the 2007 season, 4th career win and 200th NASCAR [Cup, Busch, Trucks] win.

There was a green-white-checker finish after a late caution, with #5-Busch holding off a hard charging #31-Jeff Burton, who held on to 2nd, followed by #24-Gordon, #29-Harvick, #16-Biffle, #66-Green, #8-Earnhardt Jr, #07-Bowyer, #26-McMurray and #25-Mears. #20-Stewart led the most laps, but had a fuel system problem religated Stewart to a finish of 35th.

#24-Gordon takes over the points lead from idle #01-Martin. There were 15 cautions for 90 laps and 10 drivers lead the race with 14 lead changes.
