My dad called me today complaining about the rain.  When I reminded him how much snow this could be, he happily agreed rain is okay.  A few days of rain was much needed.  Sun, warmth, and spring open water fishing (in a boat) is any day (even today if you are brave).  Let it rain, let rain, let it rain!

P.S.  How sweet is it to see the grass greening up in March?

It is awesome to see green lawns again!  Much of my lawn however is underwater.  I'm thinking of stocking my newly formed pond and fishing from home!  But then I suppose I'd get nailed by the tax man for having "lakefront property"  :-\ .

I also noticed on many area lakes that it won't be long now until the ice is gone!

I'm down in Des Moines this weekend. We have had rain off and on throughout the week...not really amounting to more than a quarter to half inch at a time i think. It looks like we are getting hit pretty hard back home though according the the Weather Channel. Some rain is good, get things greened up and wash all the sand and stuff off the roads from winter.

Rain was a blassing the last three days.  I wanted to go out shore fishing for Crappies but the rain kept me inside to complete a list of things.  Pergo floors are in, quarter round is 99%, bathroom is done, baby room is done all except for the closet and door trim.  Anymore weekend like this and the wife will be doing rain dances every Friday afternoon...  :taz: :taz:

This is what I warned against to the Old Man.  Not bad at all in the cities.  Glad I'm not north at all.  Even St. Cloud got nailed.

Scott's my taxman.  I saw him yesterday.  He's up for more home improvements, so it sounds like all is well.

How is the shoulder healing up Scott?

It's doing good.  Like Dave said I am in midst of some home renovation for my wife & I baby due April 22nd. It's probably at about 85% and the range of motion has come back nicely, except for putting my arm behind my back.  The physical therapist and I are working on that every week.  y late summer I should be near 100%.

That's encouraging news about your shoulder Scott!  I can only hope mine goes as good as yours when it comes time!

We got about 8-10" of snow here in the Alex. area.  Every lil bit will help keep us out of the fire danger this year, and hopefully help raise the water level in lakes some.  Every lil bit helps!  Even though I'd rather have had rain.  ::banghead::
