Mark from Blue Water Bait and Tackle is putting on his crappie tourney again this year.  It will happen on May 5th.  Check out www.bluewater-bait.com.

The basics are as follows:

1ST PLACE:    TROPHY PLUS $ 300 CASH

2nd PLACE :   PLAQUE PLUS   2- $ 75 GIFT CERTIFICATES

3rd PLACE:    PLAQUE PLUS  2- $50 GIFT CERTIFICATES

LARGEST CRAPPIE :  TROPHY PLUS $ 50 CASH

  • ELIGIBILITY:   Anglers 18 years old and older may compete in the tournament in two person teams.  Persons under 18 may participate only as a teammate of a parent or guardian who is 18 years old or older.  Entry fee is $25 per person & entry forms must be received by 8:00 p.m., May 4, 2007.
  • SAFETY:   Tournament teams must observe all Minnesota fishing & boating regulations.
  • HEADQUARTERS:  Tournament headquarters will be at Bluewater Outdoors.  Any questions may be answered prior to the tournament at Bluewater (218-444-2248).
  • FISHING AREA:  Fishing will be permitted on any Minnesota lake or stream open to public fishing.
  • SCORING:  Prizes will be based on the total weight (pounds and ounces) of each team?s 10 crappies.  Ties will be broken by the individual weight of the largest fish between the two teams.  Ties between the largest crappies will be determined by the next largest crappie from each respective stringer.
  • PRIZES:   The amount of the prize awarded for this tournament is based on the number of teams entered.  Bluewater Outdoors will use a portion of the entry fees for tournament expenses.  The remainder of the entry fees will become prize money.  Trophies, plaques, and gift certificates will be awarded to the top three teams and the individual with the largest crappie.  Additional prize money will be paid out accordingly based on the total number of teams over 20.
  • FISHING HOURS:  The tournament will start at 12:01 a.m. May 5th and finish at 3:00 p.m.  Fish presented for weigh-in after 4:00 p.m. will be disqualified.  The trophies and awards presentation will follow the final weigh-in.
