Wanted mine more portable so I tore an oldtrolling motor down to just the shaft and clamp and then mounted my transducer on the shaft. I then welded a thin metal plate to a c-clamp and mounted the screen on it.  I can now mount the trunsducer any place in the boat or on another boat and clamp the screen any place I want.
