Fishing has been sporadic in the Ely area lately, with rain raising the lake levels along with the surface temps. Burntside smallie and northern action is picking up, and walleyes are beginning to move, with fish from 3 to 8 lbs being caught.  Lake levels are at normal or above normal.
Trout fishing has slowed, though water temps at 20 feet are still in the low 50's. White Iron chain fishing has slowed compared to last week.
Consistant weather along with surface temp increase should make for good fishing by the weekend.

Always look forward to your reports Jim. I haven't had time to get on MNO much for the last few weeks since I've been busy guiding a lot.

21 more days and it's back to Ely! ::dancinred::
