6/14 Thursday Report

Had the honor of fishing with Lake Geneva Club members Phil Urban (avid Big Game hunter and fishermen) and John Shemickle ( Shrek look-a-like). Fishing was not as I would have predicted but we managed to pump out enough game fish to keep our attention. Right off the bat we encountered a huge lake trout rolling on the surface while inhaling cicadas floating on the surface. This was right out in the no wake area at Linn Pier.

I spotted another one a few days prior doing the same thing. Thanks to Phil I got to taste the best elk sausage I've ever eatin (good shot Phil). The weather was hot today and the fishing was not today. By days end We managed to use 1/2 the bait of my average trips. The fish are without a doubt feeding heavily on cicadas and It reminds me of the peak of a mayfly hatch. After 7 hrs we did catch enough game fish that we didn't have to drive home thru the alley today.

See ya on the water,

Lee

There was never an angler who lived, but that there was a fish capable of taking the conceit out of him.
