6-25-2007 Ely area fishing report

From the fishing reports on several lakes, it can be summed up in one word-rotten! :: The surface temp on many lakes dropped 4-7 degrees last week and the lakes appear to have mixed, with the thermocline in Burntside being around 15 to 17 feet. The temp drop seems to have kicked the bass off their beds temporarily, but should be back on shortly. Walleye are moving onto the reefs, and a few nice lakers are still being taken. Hopefully the action will have picked up dramatically by this time next week! ::

I'm sure the fishing will pick up by next week since smallmouthguide will arriving in Ely at that time. If that's not enough reason than we also have Dr. Bob rolling into the area. "Fish Tremble At The Sound Of Our Names" 8)

I don't know if it is truely a tremble.  I think perhaps it is more of a rumble like a rumbly in their tumblys as they know the ol'Doc has the sweatest bait around. .

Believe you me when I say, when Dr.Bob and smallmouthguide fish the same body of water the fish do tremble. As a matter of fact when we walk side by side the earth trembles. Last year we sunk two islands just by walking on them. :rock:

The last time I saw two bodies that huge they each had four legs, a tusk, and were charging a jeep in the Serengeti desert!

Absolutely not, I only own a VW, Yellow in color, and park it in various places around town.
