If you're motoring from one spot to another and spot a cloud of fish on the sonar, should you stop and fish them? You bet. Everything is suspending right now so you could be targeting walleyes, bass or even pike. I start by trolling crankbaits through the suspended fish and if I don't find any biters doing that, I try to coax a bite with a vertical jigging method. If they're crappies, they'll hit that jig.
