Anyone remember when first safe ice was on Red or LOW, how about north of Duluth?? Tks.....just planning!

On red some guys were out the second week of deer hunting, but the ice broke up.  The last couple of years I've found good Ice on December 3rd, and a rule of thumb is that you can put ice houses out on the day after Christmas.  All  of this is up to mother nature.
