It was too fricken cold this morning... -9 when I went out, and when I cam stumbling back in it had only made it up to -1.  Yeah, I know it was probably colder further up north... and yah, you can call me a wuss... but I got one deer this year, and it would have been nice to get another, I am not complaining.  maybe if it warms up later in the month, i'll go sit with the bow... but for now.  I am done.  It's time to get out on the ice!!!

Was I the only dumb one to go out and freeze my arse off this morning?
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

I was out also, it was -12 when I went out. I sat there for 1 hour and 45 min. The only thing that got cold was my feet. I saw 1 coyote. Then I went back tonight and I was putting on my coat and stuff and I heard about 4 or 5 shots. They were pretty close. Here someone stopped on the highway and was shooting down the river at a coyote. They drove by a couple times and then let someone out on the south side of the river. They must have ran down the river and tress passed on my land to get the coyote because they knew that there was a 4 point buck there. I saw the 4 pointer earlier this mourning when I saw the coyote going to eat on it. I think that was the one my nephew shot that we couldn't find. I saw 2 deer tonight. I have to make up my mind if I want to shoot a doe tomorrow :fudd: :fudd: or just eat cow all winter.

It's a good weekend to stay inside and get a nice fire burning in the fireplace!!  NOTHING, could make me want to go sit out in a stand when it's this cold ...no way..no how!!  You guys are crazy!!  My husband's up in Garrison this weekend muzzle loading, last night the temp was -25 when I talked with him, and this morning it was still at least that cold, if not colder...no thank you!!  Warm fire--goood!  Outside-BAD!!   :rotflmao:  I'm just a freeze baby though..don't care to be shivering my arse off anywhere!! But more power to you all who gave it your best shot!!

We were out too. -11 when I left my car. If it wasn't for my feet I would of been ok but once it starts you cannot reverse it. No deer either! Now I work for a few days and then i'm out of town for 4 days so it will be at least a week until I can get out again.

I was out again last night. They were walking all over the place. Still no bucks. Not sure how many I saw. Now I will have to break out the bow. I might have to settle for a doe pretty soon. :taz:

Went out Saturday morning when it was -15. saw eight does from about 300 yards away. then sat for three more hours and didn't see a thing. Went out Sunday morning, not as cold only -7 and decided to do some slow still hunting in a 40 acre piece of planted popples. i seen deer but not before they saw me. I also came across a beautiful 10 point with a huge body standing at 75 yards. we just starred at each other for about 5 minutes until he decided to walk off. if i would have been smart i would have bought that all season tag and he would be mine, i figured i would just hunt the late season with my bow, and now i want to cry. Well the good news is maybe he will be around for next year cause my deer hunting days are over for this year!
