Just put the final touches on winterizing the boat yesterday and started pulling out the hardwater gear.
Any ice to report from the Chisago area?

i've been up there deer hunting the past 4 days... all the small lakes are froze over.  not sure about the bigger water.

just got off the phone with frankies bait and they said the channels are all being fished and that people are hammering the crappies off pancake island right now ! theres about 5-6 inches pretty much on all the lakes in the area , but we still have to be carefull ! and whispering bay on s center was seeing alot of action this weekend !!!!
i figure next weekend im going out  ...
anyone want to meet up , let me know

ice is between 3-6 inches people are walking out on the channels and bays. Reports on crappies and walleyes caught so far. Ice is being made as I write.

Brad said his hot spots are North Lindstrom  behind the motel.walleyes and northern. not deep. stay shallow.Sunrise will be opening on saturday.

I just got the one I had on Mon. its all good Its a user errors that was the problem. But got anew ice house yesterday at menards for 130 its a 2 man flip with sled.. IM siked to get it out Saturday .But cant go till the afternoon though..Im thinking if trying some spots on N. center.. Where are you going and what time?

I was out on the south bay of Chisago yesterday. I found a consistent 7 to 8 inches of ice everywhere I drilled a hole. The sunfish were biting good, but not much for size. I did manage to get 8 for the fry pan. There was some decent tip up action also.
