With the recent mild weather some of the slush has gone.  The ice conditions on Crow are generally at 10 - 12" but in some spots there is 7 - 8" not recomended for truck travel even though some are venturing out.  Sleds are still getting around great and some are giving 4 wheelers a go.

The trout are still biting great!
Nothing large enough for our contest yet but they have been consistently catching them between 7 - 9 lbs.
'Laker takers', does not seem to matter what color, are working well, so are gold cleos and white tube jigs, biting in 35 - 40' of water. Fishing in 40' of water some are watching the bait fish move through suspended at 20' with the trout behind.

The ice road is now open on Lake of the Woods with a good 12", it's plowed out to cyclone & woodpecker.
The fishing for crappies is still awesome. Fishing in forty-four feet of water with the fish suspended from thirty six to thirty eight feet you can limit out in short order. We suggest keeping any size for your limit because at this depth most of the fish die and the average size is excellent right now. Glow in the dark jigs tipped with half a minnow seemed to produce the most aggressive bites.  At wood pecker or party corner the bite is good, only a 10 minute sled ride from us. Everyone who has fished at Hay Island has also been doing well.
The weather will still be on the warm side for the next few days so get out & catch that big one.
