Jan 7 - The ice seems to be ok out to the flats there was a lot of vehicle traffic out there even though we told people not to go out there. We are looking at bringing shacks out to the flats this weekend. A few fish were caught this weekend, the best reports are still coming from the sands perch and a few walleyes mixed in. The flats have not been the best but some have run into some nice walleyes on Barnacles and East.

We do have a road to the East flats but there are slush pockets out there. One vehicle got stuck and had to pull them out.

The DNR is warning to stay off the lakes with this warm weather. So far, our main roads (to the sands & rockpile) are still very good with very little water if any.
