I'm going to Knife lake tomorrow, and was wondering if anyone has any info on this lake? where to try. going for walleye and some crappies.  Thanks Kyle

i stopped by knife lake on my way home from mille lacs and dropped a couple lines and nothing was biteing , really dident even see anything on the flasher ... water was dirty and real yellow  :puke:... i wont be heading back to there anytime soon !!!

Yep, that water is really stained in the winter. I just read this now or I would have gave you some advice. I'm sure you allready left though and this is too late.

The public access is on hwy 65, just follow the road that goes out and to the right, there should be a bunch of houses and activity, thats usually a good place for Panfish.

Thanks for the info. We ended up going to west ruch instead. North end of Crane Island. Lots of 10-12" crappies, one 10" perch. How did you do on Sat, Spinach?

Never did make it out this weekend, I was stuck at home with too much to do, plus the weather was terrible.

i was on knife a few weeks ago the perch were bitting crappies were few and far between they didnt start bitting till after dark...i have a freind that lives on the lake he thinks the crappies numbers are down..if you go hwy 65 landing take the road past the group on the right and head to the group off the point weve been catching them for years there...good luckmaybe ill see you out there some weekend
