I didn't see a forum for rod wrapping, and i would like to see who is interested in rod wrapping or who does it.

I make my own rods, i have mad many customs rods..

Right now i am working on a girly girl one, its purple blanks, and the eyes are holo, almost like a prism with turq, purple, orange, pink and blueish,  not sure on the handle just yet, thinking about going with a foam black.. i am thinking a colored cork will fade off.. Altho they have this new plastic, but i want comfort... as for the threading.. i am thinking of doing turq.. pink, purple and maybe a orange to match the holo

Then i got a order for a green one... so i will keep you all updated with pics as it comes along

Also, i am going to try to make  a rod with MNO  wrapped in thread on it .. wouldnt that be cool..

I've made a number of rods using the wood inserts for the reel seats, and they turn out looking pretty sharp.  After a making a couple of handles with the glue/cork rings/lathe work, I have since punted and buy the pre-made fore and rear grips.

There are some neat looking fore and rear grips with a darker cork end cap.  I have one rod that's a couple of years old that has held up really well with the two-tone cork and a rosewood insert with Fuji rings.
