Hit this lake for a few hours. I was surprised to see how many people were on this lake and how few were on Peltier ?

Had both of my boys with me (4&8)
Caught some real nice sunnies and a few crappies ! Had to leave before prime time for the crappies due to the fact that we ran out of Propane for the heater

The Crappie bite was very subtle you would hardly tell
The key here was to watch for the float to move across the hole quickly and then set the hook

Sunnies would just smash it and sink the float

Tried waxies, minnows, and plastics

Waxies were the key here nothing on the minnows and only a couple on plastics
Waxies took 99% of our fish !

This was just a C&R day although most were big enough for the pan they all swim on !!  :toast:
