We went out Sunday from 12:30 till dark, and the bite was a little slow. We fished in a spot that was 27 feet of water (super secret spot). At first we caught 9 perch; we kept 4 that were around 9 inches. We were catching small sunfish in between the perch, most were 5 to 6 inches. (We didn't keep any) Later, around 3:00 the crappies started, very, very, light bite. You had to watch your spring bobber or noodle pole real close. Mama, caught 11, the boy caught 9, and I caught 12, most were smaller fish. The daughter and her boyfriend showed up around 4:30, she caught 3 and he caught 5. We did manage to get 8 that were in the 8 ½ - 9 ½ range and 2 that were pushing 11 inches. (We kept them for supper) Not a stellar day, but it was fun! I sat outside, it was nice and sunny! The boy and mama fished in the trap. The daughter and boyfriend fished in the Eskimo. I used wax worms the whole time, the rest used minnows. The colors didn’t seem to matter much, but they were all using glow demons. Mama had on an orange one, the boy had a blue one, the daughter was using a pink one and the boyfriend had on a green. I was using an orange and yellow marmoska.

Hope you had a chance to get out!
